Editing

Finally today we just added in the last little bits of sound and also added in transitions so certain sound effects fade out then after that we rendered the whole clip after checking it was ready. We made sure that it was in 1080p and once it was ready we then uploaded it to youtube so that we could upload it to the blog. I am quite pleased with how the whole clip has ended up but however it is still the slightest bit longer than expected.

Editing

We finished editing and now today we added in the final bits of sound that we got from copyright free websites. The sound effects we used were a bang sound. We also used two different sound tracks one that is mysterious and the other that has a creepy edge these both bring in the clips togeteher properly.

Editing

Most recently me and my partner finished off the last little bits of editing where we just finalised the clips by putting them together as well as trimming them down to size and making sure our video isnt too long. Then once we'd finished doing that I then started to add in a large amount of text such as the titles for each person e.g. the director. I tried to find a font that went with this type of triller, this was hard at first but then I found the right one. After I had found the right one I then began to set each word into the correct position such as the corners so that they didnt obstruct the view of the viewer, I also had to make sure that each of the words were on a reverse colour block such as white writing on a black background.

Editing

After getting to grips with the editing software, we cropped some more clips down in size after getting some comments of our teacher. We then added a few transitions to smoothen out the video and after that we then saved it, because we still need to do a lot more to the whole video to shorten it down as well as add in sound and effects and things like that. I wrote on a piece of paper some of the adaptations we needed to make in a some of plan so we started to do them. Another thought was to add in a flashing strobe on a certain clip to add mystery and creepiness but the remainder of the other tasks will be done next time.

Editing

On the second time of editing, we came back and had all of the clips in order. So now we started to crop the clips down to reasonable sizes, so that the overall film isn't eight minutes long. This was a hard task at first but then after getting used to it, it became a easy enough task. Some clips needed cropping more then others because they were far too long. Shortly after editing some of the clips they just didn't flow properly so we added in lots of different transitions so that the scene blended and made more sense.

Editing

On the first time of editing we were a bit rushed for time as hours before we had been filming. So after we had all of the clips ready to go we then went onto the editing software and put all of them into the order we wanted. This then allows us to crack on with the proper editing when when we come back after the Christmas holidays.
